E&B Natural Resources Wins Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility

Bakersfield, November 17, 2014 – E&B Natural Resources is proud to have received the West Coast Oil and Gas Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility. The award is given to the company that best demonstrates its commitment to the greater good of local communities. E&B Natural Resources was singled out for its corporate philosophy of taking responsibility for its actions – socially, ethically and environmentally; for acting on the belief that it has an obligation to give back to the communities in which it operates.

The company’s involvement with Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (T*A*P*S) in Bakersfield was one of the many organizations noted in the presentation. TAPS, a non-profit organization, provides immediate and long-term emotional help, hope and healing to those who are grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America. TAPS meets its mission by providing peer-based emotional support, grief and trauma resources, casework assistance, and connections to community-based care.

President and Founder, Bonnie Carroll said, “The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) is very grateful for the exceptional support of E&B Natural Resources. It truly is a company that represents the very best of giving back to the community and caring for the needs of others. We are proud to have E&B as a partner in our mission and inspired by their generosity and leadership.”

Steve Layton, President of E&B Natural Resources said, “We heard about TAPS and their work inspired us. Helping the families who have lost a loved one in service to our country is very important to all of us at E&B. Our work with TAPS has been more than just fundraising. It is about raising awareness so that more military family members are able to connect with TAPS and it is about giving back to the greater community.”

E&B Natural Resources and its team members are proud to participate in building community-based programs, contributing to local foundations and working with our neighbors.

“We are in a community for the long run and believe it is important to support local organizations and community efforts,” Steve Layton concluded.
